Tomato Chutney | Tomato Chutney Recipe. Homemade spicy tomato chutney for Idli, dosa, rice and chapati.

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds, fry for a minute and then add the 2 chopped tomato.
Fry till the tomato turn soft.
Blend this into a smooth paste, along with the 1 tbsp grated coconut.Keep aside.
Heat the 2 tbsp oil and add the chopped garlic and 1 chopped onion. Fry till the onion turns translucent.
Now add 3 tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp coriander powder and sugar, fry for half a minute.
Add the blended paste, salt, 1 tsp tomato sauce and 1/2 tsp asafoetida fry for another 2 min.
Tomato Chutney is good to be served with Idli, Dosa, Rice and chapati.
