Pundi Gatti With Idli Rava | Easy Pundi Gatti | Instant Pundi Recipe. Pundi or Pundi Gatti is a popular cuisine of the Mangalore-Udupi region in Karnataka. Traditionally, it is prepared using rice by soaking, grinding and cooking. But pundi gatti with idli rava, easy, quick and tasty way of preparing pundi.

 1 tbsp Oil
 1 tsp Urad dal
 1 tsp Mustard seeds
 1 tsp Cumin seeds
 1 tbsp Green chilli chopped
 1 Onion chopped
 Few curry leaves chopped
 1 cup Idli rava
 2 cups Water
 1 tbsp Coconut grated
 Salt to taste

Take a kadai heat 1 tbsp oil and add 1 tsp urad dal, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp chopped green chilli fry for a min.

Add chopped curry leaves and 1 chopped onion sauté till onion become translucent.

Now add 2 cups water to this mixture and add salt to taste.

Heat the water and let it come to a rolling boiling. Now lower the flame then add 1 cup Idli rava slowly stirring immediately.

Steam for a minutes on the low flame, add 1 tbsp grated coconut.

Mix well. Then switch off the flame. Now ready to make a balls.

Wet your palm and take handful of dough and make oval shaped balls. Arrange these balls in a tray.

Steam these balls in a pressure cooker or steamer for about 10-15 min.
