Hesarubele Payasa Recipe | Moong Dal Kheer Recipe is a traditional South Indian dessert made especially for celebration feast. It is simple to make, tastes divine and extremely nutritious, good for kids, toddlers and elders too.

Hesarubele Payasa

 ¾ cup Moong dal
 2 cups Water
 1 cup Jaggery
 1 cup Coconut milk
 ¼ tsp Cardamom powder
 1 tbsp Ghee
 Few cashews
 Few raisins

Take pan and roast ¾ cup moong dal on low flame until they turn aromatic.

Add 2 cup water and cook till dal gets well cooked.

Add grated or broken pieces of jaggery.

Mix well till all jaggery gets melted into the dal mixture. Then add 1 cup coconut milk and stir well.

Simmer for 2 minutes, add ¼ tsp cardamom powder.

Take a small pan and roast cashew and raisins in ghee. Pour the fried nuts over payasam and mix well, turn off the flame.
