Corn Flour Halwa | Bombay Halwa | Indian Festival Sweet Recipe. Corn flour halwa is a chewy and glossy halwa made with corn starch. Bombay halwa super quick recipe.

Corn Flour Halwa

 1 cup Corn flour
 4 cups Water
 6 tbsp Ghee
 ¼ tsp Red food color
 ¼ tsp Cardamom powder
 2 tbsp Cashew chopped
For Sugar Syrup:
 2 cups Sugar
 1 cup Water
 1 tsp Lemon juice

In a large bowl take 1 cup corn flour and 4 cup water mix well.

Now in a large kadai take 2 cup sugar and 1 cup water.

Now get the sugar water to a boil, pour prepared corn flour water, 2 tbsp ghee and 1 tsp lemon juice. Lemon is used to prevent sugar from crystalizing.

Stir until the mixture starts to thicken. Once the mixture turns glossy add ¼ tsp red food color, again 2 tbsp ghee and mix well.

Now add ¼ tsp cardamom powder, 2 tbsp ghee and 2 tbsp cashew, mix well.

After 30 minutes, the mixture will turn super glossy.

Transfer the halwa mixture into the tray, sprinkle few chopped nuts. Rest for 15 minutes, cut corn flour halwa into pieces.
