Rava Chakli Recipe | Instant Murukku. Rava Chakli made with rava and rice flour. Rava chakli is a popular Indian deep-fried snack recipe, it usually made for a festival time like diwali or janmashtami.
Ingredients
Directions
In a kadai take 2 cup water and get to a boil, then add 1 cup rava.
Add 2 tbsp butter, cook until the rava absorbs water and starts to separates the pan.
Transfer the rava dough to a bowl and add 2 cup rice flour, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tbsp sesame seeds, a pinch of asafoetida and salt to taste.
Crumble and mix to form a moist flour.
Now add ¼ cup water and knead the dough well.
Now take star mould and fix to the chakli maker, grease the chakli maker with some oil. Divide the dough into parts. Add one part of the dough to the mould & press. Make small spiral shape chaklis.
Heat oil in a kadai and drop one by one chakli and fry on medium flame till they turn crispy from both sides.
Rava Chakli or Instant Murukku ready to serve.
