Matar Paneer Recipe | Matar Paneer Recipe Restaurant Style. North Indian peas paneer curry, this restaurant style matar paneer is creamy, delicious and super flavorful. In a pan heat 2 tbsp oil and sauté 1 chopped onion, 1 garlic clove, 3 sliced tomato and 1 tsp ginger.
Also add 6 cashews and sauté for few min.
Cool completely and blend to smooth paste. Keep aside.
Now take a kadai heat 2 tbsp oil and sauté 1 bay leaf, small piece of cinnamon stick, 2 pods cardamom, 1 tsp cumin seeds, ¼ tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp red chilli powder.
Roast on low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
Now add prepared onion tomato paste and sauté well.
Continue to sauté until the paste thickens.
Now add 1 cup water and 1 cup cooked peas and mix well.
Add ¼ tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ¼ tsp garam masala and salt to taste. Cook for 2 min.
Now add 10 cubes paneer and stir gently.
Add 2 tbsp chopped coriander 1 tsp crushed kasuri methi and again cook for 2 min.
Matar panner ready to serve with roti, rice, naan or chapati.
