Take 1 cup grated coconut and ½ cup curd / Butter milk in a blender and blend to smooth paste. Keep aside.
Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan and add 1 cup sliced onion, 1 tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder and ¼ tsp salt, fry for a min.
Add ½ cup water and mix well. Cover and boil for 10 minutes.
Now add prepared coconut paste along with ¼ tsp salt.
Mix well adjusting consistency as required. Boil 2 min and turn off the flame.
Now prepare tempering heat 2 tsp oil, 1 tsp mustard seeds and 1 tsp cumin seeds fry for a min.
Pour the tempering over onion curry and mix well.
