Take a large bowl soak 1 cup seedless dates in 1/2 cup of hot water for 20 min.
Blend to smooth paste.
Take a deep thick bottomed pan, add this paste and add 1/4 cup ghee and mix well.
Cook until the mixture thickens on low flame till the mixture is almost dry and the halwa is formed. It will takes approx 30 min.
In a small pan take 2 tbsp ghee and roast 10 cashews until it turns golden brown.
Add in fried cashew, ¼ tsp cardamom powder to halwa and mix well.
Remove from fire.
