First soak 1 cup dosa rice for 3 hours.
Then grind with 1 cup grated coconut, 8 small ripe banana, 3 tbsp jaggery and a pinch of salt with little water in a blender, until smooth paste.
Transfer this batter to a bowl.
Heat the appam pan. Add some ghee into each of the holes in the pan.
Drop a spoonful of batter into each of the holes and cook in low-medium heat.
Cook appam for a minute on each side until golden brown.
